Storytelling - Lilith

Project type

graphic design, publication design,

Date

June 2023

This project was developed as part of my university coursework and centered around a reimagining of the story of Lilith, a figure rich with cultural, historical, and symbolic significance. The aim of the work was to challenge conventional narratives and encourage viewers to consider alternative perspectives — to look beyond first impressions and find their own interpretations and meaning within the story.

The visual design played a crucial role in supporting this theme. Initially, the project featured a purple-focused palette and design approach, which was later refined and reworked to better align with the tone and complexity of the narrative. The updated design more accurately conveyed the emotional depth, ambiguity, and symbolic weight of the character and her story.

Final outcomes included three SRA3 posters and a fully designed, printed publication. The book design was an integral part of the project — not just as a container for the narrative, but as a storytelling tool in itself. Every visual choice was made to reinforce the project’s core message: that there is more than one way to see something, and to find your own meaning without quick judgement.
